Coton Colors Company is currently seeking a Finance Manager for our Corporate Office & Design Center located in Tallahassee, FL.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The candidate selected for this role will have responsibility for managing the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles to support strategic decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and drive financial performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but are not limited to):
Financial Planning & Analysis

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
Conduct variance analysis to monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
Oversee and manage month-end period close checklist
Establish a process for expense management and implement company-wide

Strategic Decision Support

Partner with senior leadership to develop financial strategies and business plans.
Provide financial guidance on cost-saving measures, investments, and profitability improvement.
Support decision-making for capital investments, new projects, and resource allocation.

Financial Reporting

Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to stakeholders.

Cash Flow Management

Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
Optimize working capital and manage banking relationships.

Risk Management & Compliance

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and reporting standards.
Identify financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
Collaborate with auditors and oversee internal controls.

Team Management & Collaboration

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
Promote a culture of financial accountability across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required).
Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) preferred.
5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Leadership and team management skills.
Attention to detail with a strategic mindset.
